After six years of providing a mobile rigging service to the southern half of the island Mainstay Rigging Ltd has decided to expand the range of services and quality of work we have come to be known for.  To do so we have acquired Yachttech Spars and Rigging systems.  The very same business where I first learned the rigging and fabrication trade almost 14 years ago.  In order to maintain a recognizable profile in the boating community throughout the island we have decided to rename the company: “Mainstay–Yachttech Ltd.”.

Yachttech provides quality custom spar fabrication to the Pacific Northwest.  They  provide full rigging systems for such firms as Jespersen Boats, Waterline Yachts, and Scepter Yachts just to name a few.  They build top quality masts and booms for private individuals providing them with the expertise necessary to make sure their boats perform their best.  I am excited to continue and improve upon the work  I was a part of for nearly eight years.

By combining the abilities of both firms, we can now offer a full range of fabrication in both Aluminium and Stainless steel.  Whether you need a new mast or SS components such as bow rollers, we can now assist you in the design and execution of  all your boat projects.  We have also been specializing in refurbishing existing masts.  We can redesign them and replace worn components as well as paint them to look like new.  We have a 70 foot long paint bay and years of experience using Alwgrip epoxy primers and Polyurethane top coats. 

We can service and replace Wire, Fiber and Rod Rigging for all boats.    We have been able to expand our inventory of rope and swage fittings so that we have what you need on hand.   We are also very excited to expand our product line to include Navtec hydraulic system, Forespar/Leisure Furl Booms and Schaefer Blocks and Furling Gears.

These services are now more easily accessible from Victoria to Campbell River and beyond.   We will continue to travel the island with our mobile division to bring our resources to you.  With regular office hours we are also more easily reached.  You can do so at the following:
