6 Metre

In 2004 we were approached by Eric Jespersen, of Jespersen Boat Builders, to develop a mast for his own 6 Meter, Gallant.

In collaboration with Eric, we developed an aluminum extrusion that meets the dimensional, weight and balance rules for the class as described by the International Sailing Federation (ISAF). We also developed a series of fittings that is, according to the rules allowed to be measured with the mast .

Gallant and Jesperson won the North American 6 Meter event in Port Townsend in July '06 and the 6 Meter World Cup in Newport, Rhode Is. in '09.

We have worked with other 6 Meter owners to develop measured and certified masts custom to their need. In the process, with the classic nature of the 6 Meter fleet in mind, we also developed a traditional wood finishing technique that has been applied to several masts.
